it's a good thing that only hockey players are answering this question....i count only 2. otherwise, if you ARE a hockey player, you might want to qualify that first, so this guy knows that YOU know something about what you're talking about.

good luck to you, btw.

first off damn bro your hella big! im 5'9 190 so damn. what I do is running, or if you dont like running ride a bike which is what I do alot of bike riding. go to public skating and just skate all the time, play as much as you can as well obviously. also like someone said above me do short running breaks. like run to one block stop, and sprint to the next. do a lot of squats, and a lot of leg presses, cant forget your hammys either. try not to focus on your chest or arms as much you need to lose some weight. watch what you eat, and also alot of stretching. are you trying to play in minor league somewhere? why in gods name would you have stopped playing bro? U of Michagan scouts!!!!!!!!! damn you must be good man, goodluck, i jjust got invited into a ECHL summer camp so well see how that goes.

Well i dont play hockey anymore but something that i do for rugby might help with your legs.

Line up three cones about 10 yards with five yards between each cone. Start at the middle laying face down get up and go as fast as you can backwards to the cone behind you, when you get there hit the floor and get back up and sprint to the far cone, again when you get there hit the floor and get up as quickly as you can and goes backwards to the middle/starting cone and hit the floor. Thats one rep; we do it 6 times and then run/jog 1/2 mile and then do it all over again.

Remembering when i played it was all about endurance so doing a lot of short burst or wind sprints should help, as well as running stairs or steps at a stadium/bleacher

Hockey is a sport where you go 100% in short shifts with small breaks. You should do a lot of wind spints with small breaks in btw. The first thing to go is your legs, so you must work out heavey with the weights on your legs. You must also strenghtin your ankles. Jump roping will be great for your leggs and ankles.
