what are some reason why bodybuilding as a sport and ******** workout is declining?

Bodybuilding is not a sport, it’s a mental disease. It’s the male version of anorexia. The reason it’s losing respect is because it’s stupid, and because everyone takes steroids anyway. Being big, and being fat, are two completely different things. I am overweight and training strength and speed, while dieting, and I’m already stronger and faster than the builders at my gym who are probably roiding too.

I’m not bragging: I’m proving a point. Bodybuilding is not a sport, it’s the male version of anorexia ;)

A sport would be if they actually USED these muscles for something, and they served some function, rather than being purely cosmetic.

because people feel bad that they can not have the discipline that we have in the lifting world the only way it can be saved is if we do not let it die

i think the rampant steroid use in the sport is it’s main deterrent right now. the sporting world (i.e., fans) are finally starting to lash back at steroid use as cheating and they are starting to view the sports where steroid use is obvious and prevalent (body building, baseball, pro wrestling) in a negative light. clean up the sport and the fans will return.

I think it’s because of the media and how they always portray jocks as dumb, cocky, or ego tripping.

I love weight training and don’t care what anyone else thinks. I will be in the gym until I’m dead or can’t physically get there anymore. Don’t worry about it do your thing and don’t pay attention to negativity.

    nowadays
the television makes people think that if you do roids, youll look like ronnie coleman
so, they think that being a bodybuilder is easy also that it is gross
YET theyve never tried it. mostly because its expensive as hell, its hard as hell and its tiring as hell so they dont do it and call us lazy…because most people take roids
and even though most noobs give up, it doesnt gets the respect bodybuilders deserve that actually make it far in this little “game”…

and also nowadays, people respect anorexics and guys with 6 packs and they think THAT is hard work, getting a 6 pack…when
you just loose a few pounds of fat, voila you got a 6 pack

also i wish if you did take roids i can look like ronnie coleman
id be sitting here eating icecream…then go to the gym and deadlift 800 pounds for a few sets
maybe leg press 2300 pounds a few times
then go walk outside and scare people

but whatever, its the media, and its not as hyped as it used to be
plus people are to lazy to train ******** so they stick with the little prissy workouts like
2 sets of dumbell curls with 10 reps, not till failure
then go home and eat a yogurt
